Sometimes YourPace students don't have any choices. There's 1 course to fill the GEC or other requirement.

Like the PM Concentration. BUS359 isn't actually required for the degree and most students can't take it because it requires you to be currently employed in IT. Instead I had to take BUS400 and BUS401 instead of just BUS400 with BUS359. I'm not even sure if BUS359 is still offered.

From my understanding the Final Assessment has changed since I took the class. I don't know any programming languages at all so it was a hard class for me. I worked with my professor through several Zoom sessions.

I think someone mentioned recently-ish that BUS245 uses Python? If so, I recommend using https://www.py4e.com/ to get familiar with the language beforehand.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I hope not! Python isn't even mentioned in the class. The program would have to be a completely different assignment as well.

So, what if someone already transferred Sophia's PM?

You can ask to take BUS141 and they'll let you. I did just that. Or you can deal with creating the template from scratch without taking BUS141 but it will be time consuming since you don't have access to the course. BUS400 and BUS401 are not taught on the learning platform. You complete those 2 courses directly with the professor.

Are BUS400 and BUS 401 the two upper level courses that build on BUS 141?
Current: UMPI YourPace competency-based BABA, Management & Leadership Concentration, Project Management and Management of Information Systems Minors. Starting with 15 RA credits previously earned in community college. Took the CSM Learn course. Now going through Sophia courses.
Goal: Walden TEMPO competency-based MBA.
Timeline: Started planning mid 2021. Finish both, Jan 2023. A year and a half total, including planning. Started planning on TESU, but was advised towards UMPI to take advantage of financial aid. I'm now excited to finish completely competency-based.
Fun fact: I sometimes use TV as a productivity toolOne episode per chapter, load of dishes, or basket of laundry!
Thanks to everyone, and happy studying!  Smile

Yes they are. You have to take BUS400 before BUS401. Each one was only offered once a semester. Session 1 BUS400 and Session 2 BUS401.

Keep in mind that you must complete most of the UL courses at UMPI. FYS100 you won't take. You'll take 0 credit YourPace orientation that fills this. It takes a few minutes to complete the course. You can't take BUS400 or BUS401 outside of UMPI. You want BUS141 at UMPI because you'll need it for BUS400 & BUS401.

No one has transferred it in so far. I just looked at it and it says it takes 57 hours to complete. YIKES! The UMPI class is nowhere near that long. The UMPI class is also an exam. There's no proctor fee at UMPI. No proctors either. This was a really easy and fast class at UMPI.
