It's all good... There's really no right or wrong way of saying things, it's like how people say NIKE. When we go to the YMCA for registering my kids or ourselves into the gym, or sign them up for kids sports, we just call it the 4 letters.

This is a silly question but do people say U.M.P.I. or um-pee or something else?

Everyone on campus calls is um-pee. No one says U.M.P.I.

My mother says Um-Pee, and my father only says U.M.P.I. I told my father he needed to soften up and start calling the school by its proper name. He said that he would never call TESU, Te-Suuu or WGU, W-Guuu so UMPI will always be U.M.P.I. to him

I have to agree with your ole man on this, "U.M.P.I." just sounds better. When I hear people in their promotional videos say Um-pee, it sounds corny.

Agree with the corny factor of saying or hearing Um-pee. However, I am down for those that like it.
