You said you have 2 years before you start school, but you are graduated now. I really think this is a great time to take a few CLEP exams. Take one every other month or something for now. You'll be earning credit that is good for TWENTY years!! If you use it now, or after your children are up and out  at least you have it "in the bank"......I promise you, algebra is NOT easier when your 20 years out of high school hilarious
I am planning on doing CLEP tests for these 2 years until I can go to a college. But I've recently learned that I can get a college degree almost completely through testing, so I may not go to a college anyway.

It will work. If the University has a contract with Jc they have to accept classes that are the same as the course they offer. If you go to get a Masters it will transfer like you took the class. Trust me, this is what I am doing:] My dad and I have got it figured out. Make sure the University has an greement with each other though.Other than that you should be good to go!

I'm confused. Who has to agree with each other?

If you live in a certain area, lets say boston, and you go to the community college there, but right down the road( or it could be a a ways away) is Boston University. well, in order to have students go to both their schools and be able to transfer they make an agreement to take each others credits and not others. This is so they make money. If you start out at the community college first and take clep tests that the jc offers and it goes on your transcript, they have to accept it at the univerisity, unless, in there handbook it says to refer to that schools policy about transfers(because some people take nursing so they dont need to transfer really, this is why they offer the cleping.)
The University I am going to does that, but they also state that they take clep courses. Now, if your going into medicine, and it states you can not use an Ap course or clep, then you can't do it, because the School of medicine doesnt have contracts with the jc, luckily mine does^-^ because its the same college who lets you have clep.

Lyngaff is referring to a written Transfer Agreement. Please be aware that transfer agreements are actual written policy, so you can get a copy, and that they may vary from school to school. Just do your homework, but this is possibly true for your school.
Also Cali, I homeschool my children, they (and you) can take AP...but there are a few more speed bumps to be sure.
Finally, even if you test out of your degree by attending one of the big three (like I did) you are in fact STILL "GOING" TO COLLEGE.

Lol, when I said 'go' to college, I meant physically, with a campus and everything.
The idea of testing out of a degree is more appealing to me, anyway. I think.
