University of Maine System Transfer Equivalencies
#1
Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share this link that I hadn't previously seen anywhere on our forum. Apologies if I'm late to the party.

https://mainestreetcs.maine.edu/psp/CSPR..._GUEST.GBL?

I clicked on "Transfer Courses or Test Credit to the Univ of Maine System" at the bottom of the page.

On the next page I clicked on the "S" and then selected Sophia from the list. It then shows all the Sophia courses that are accepted. At least I think so.

Not sure if this applies to YourPace. Maybe one of the experts on here can confirm.

Thx!

It's been shared a few times, but it's good to remind people.

I would recommend hitting C and then Credly/ACE instead of S and Sophia. It (at least seems to) be better updated.

Here's the main post/thread that has more details/info, probably another mod may want to merge all the "UMPI transfer equivalency" into this main thread here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ivalencies

Keep in mind that the database reflects the past and may not always reflect current state - transfer policies and ACE recommendation periodically change (e.g. something that was upper level may become lower level).

It also lists courses that may no longer exist at UMPI and providers that are no longer around.

This. All of this! SO many people don't take this into consideration. There's a lot of outdated transfer credit on it because it hasn't and probably never will be updated.

Main thing is to try and follow through with the WIKI plans and if you need to deviate from the courses or providers, email your academic advisor to make sure the class is accepted for transfer before taking that specific one.

I still haven't figured out which degree I want to pursue at UMPI, but I'm getting closer and closer to 90 credits. I hope to be able to enroll by the end of the year. We'll see!

Great stuff, keep going, it's best to actually get all you can do with the gen eds, electives, etc with Sophia.org to max the transfer, even if you go past 90 credits, they'll take the credits but only 90 will go towards the degree...

Yeah, I'm starting to get excited. As far as you can tell, how many more gen ed credits do you think I need? I count 39 GECs in hand, but this doesn't include enlglish comp I from trad college from last year.
