Visual Comparison of Degrees
#1
Hello all!

I am in no way saying a degree from one school is better than a degree from another. I am simply stating my opinion on the "looks" of the paper itself. That being said.. my ranking is as follows:

1. Thomas Edison
2. Western Governors
3. Excelsior (old)
4. Charter Oak
5. Excelsior (new)

Thoughts?

The old Excelsior Degree definitely looks better. I like the added line "Member of The University of ..." because it adds some authentication to the degree.

Additionally, I like the governor's signature on the WGU degree.
Georgia Institute of Technology: MS in Analytics (3/32 Credits)
Boston University: MS in Software Development
Thomas Edison State University: BA in Liberal Studies

Thank you very much for this! TESU better not change their degree before mine gets conferred (unless they add the AoS to it). I think it looks good.

I must admit...The WGU is my fav! Granted, that IS what their MBA diploma looks like, not necessarily their undergrad diploma...but the WGU one is Nice!

I would say the TESU one is "second". I out that in quotes because it is still nice looking!

The old Excelsior IS better than the new one. Not sure what they were going for with the refresh.

The Charter Oak one is surprisingly nice too. That was a big surprise.

Great topic!

Hey Toastmaster!

The WGU undergrad looks the same as their MBA (it was just the first picture I grabbed to post).

WGU looks the most professional. The EC and COSC ones look someone made them on Photoshop in their basement. They don't even look real. That's sad!

It is interesting to hear other people's perspectives.

I have two of the TESU Degrees on my office wall at home, and I personally like them the most.

I feel that my MS from WGU looks like a certificate you would get for employee orientation training at work. The visibility, at least for my eyes, is terrible. The first letter of each word vanishes when I look at it.

Regardless of appearance, I am proud of them all.

I think WGU has the best branding and website among the four.
