Graduate Independent Study
#11
I have no idea what this magical grad program was that he found where you can transfer in 18 credits. If he really did find a program that allows for 18 credits to transfer in I don't think it's going to be as easy as he thinks. I'm still not sure how transfer credit is cheating the system either.

My friend is looking for business grad classes like the independent study courses offered through BYU and University of Idaho like I said in my initial post. Supposedly he found a grad program he can transfer in 18 credits and wants to "cheat the system" with independent study courses. I don't know how that's cheating the system but ok. LOL

Yes, I apologize, but I have no idea what it actually means to be "like the BYU/Idaho courses."  I imagine being given a syllabus, a set of texts and a final exam.  That's what independant study means to me.

BYU and U of Idaho have 2 independent study programs. Course material is sent to you and you work on it on your own. Like a correspondence course. They have papers and assignments. These 2 programs have been discussed on this forum for years.

Nope. I wondered if they just made it up or read something somewhere and misunderstood it.
