hi, apa kabar?
aku terkejut baca ini. ;d

malangnya, pusat ujian CLEP tidak ada di indonesia. (closest one in the Philippines or Australia) Sad

but you can take DSST (these are the same as DANTES) here:

7710
INDONESIAN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION FOUNDATION
MENARA IMPERIUM 28TH FLOOR
SUITE B
JL. HR. RASUNA SAID KAV.1
JAKARTA
INDONESIA
62-2 8317332
JAKARTA, INTL
62-2 8317332
The Indonesian International Education Foundation - Home

And you should be able to find a test center for UExcel and Excelsior exams, as they are done through Pearson Vue.

EDIT: I searched on the UExcel exams and found several in Jakarta. The Excelsior exams are in Singapore. You can search using the following link:
Pearson VUE

I'm not sure how TECEP (Exams from Thomas Edison college) are administered.

How do you plan on using these exams? I think any of the big three (COSC, Excelsior, and TESC) will be more expensive than most Indonesian universities, right?

Smile thank you for the reply. lol
are you Malaysian? im surprised you speak Malaysian. youre good at it!

thank you so much for the information! it helps me.
well, actually, i never heard about UExcel program before.
what kind of program is it?
i thought its an excelsior programs.but when i re-read your post. i guess they arent the same. lol

oh no waay! no at all!
i live in Jakarta city. and fyi,the price difference of education between Jakarta and the other cities in Indonesia is pretty significant.
most of universities in here are expensive.

some of them will cost you +/- $11.000 ONLY for the tax and another things like (building tax, education tax, books, enrollment fee, etc) NO CREDIT HOURS,NO CLASSES

and some of them even cost you (+/-) $64.000 ONLY for the taxes and the other things too. NO CREDIT HOURS,NO CLASSES

and some of international based universities in Jakarta costs you up to (+/-) $100.000 'till you graduate.

well, actually,im not looking for cheaper credits.
but im looking for time-saving Smile
because time is the most expensive thing in the world, isnt?
and im not going to waste 4 years of my life only to earn a bachelor degree.
lol

I study Malay and Indonesian. Sometimes they get mixed.

It is a new series of exams started by Excelsior College.
UExcel - College Credit by Exam

Haha, actually I never checked the price in Jakarta before. But the highest I found in Batam was around $5,000 for S1. As low as $2,000 for D3, if I remember correctly. But the subjects you can study seem limited.

I see your point about time.

I think you will be best off at COSC. You should be able to use the GRE subject exams there, if you wish to. I think it will be cheaper than TESC.

I don't think foreign citizens can use FEMA courses for TESC.
I would have recommended Excelsior if not for all of their new policies.

What do you want to do after you get your degree?

If there is no CLEP testing center and there is a testing center offering international examinations like TOEFL, GRE etc and they are willing to administer the CLEP you can contact CLEP and explain the situations if they approve the center (which is very likely if they offer other international exams) then you are set.
