study.com Business 111: Principles of Supervision

We have solved your issue

The Study.com course, Financial Management, will transfer over as FIN-100, Introduction to Finance. However, it is not an appropriate option for any open degree requirement. Please do not attempt this option.

However, the Study.com/TESU transfer list does have it as FIN-200 so who knows if that person had the correct info or not.

I think it's not updated on the Study.com website, because I show it as FIN-100 as well (so I must have learned that on this forum at some point).

They were telling you personally that you don't need it in your degree so not to waste your time. It may still work for other people though, who have space in their degree plan for it.

That's what I thought too, but I still have an open AOS spot open which needs to be either accounting or finance. So it would only be accepted as a free elective according to this advisor right?

Why not set up a phone appt to discuss. Some advisors tend to get things wrong or are not as open to alternate credit. If I accepted the initial decision each time someone told me no, I'd probably still be working on my degrees. As an example I was told I could not use AOJ 101 or 102 in my degree for the exact same reason, although precedent said otherwise. Of course in the long run it was approved, as expected, but I actually got into a heated argument with an advisor over the subject. Had to call the registrar for approval. The denial was actually someone's 'personal' decision.

That's where I am at now. Kind of stuck and I will be one credit hour short of finishing off the AOS. Does bus 121 entrepreneurship fit in the AOS or will it not work? Listed as man230 on study's list of TESU transfers. Thanks

Not to sound like a broken record, but you really need to make an appt with Advising or call the Registrar. When you email they just route it back to the same pool of advisors so you will most likely get the same answer. Sometimes, especially in situations such as this, you need someone a level up (or 2) the food chain.

Intro to Entrepreneurship fits the AOS in its own BSBA but everything said on the forum is just hearsay. TESU tends to be student account/degree specific in certain areas. Please take my advice and set up an appt. You can schedule time during your lunch break; I've even scheduled 5pm appts. Stay away from Certo if she's still around. Feel free to PM with the current business Advisors and I'll offer an opinion.

I have a meeting scheduled next week. I just don't want to lose the weekend not doing course work when I can get finished with a class sat/sun.

I just checked the website. Intro to Entrepreneurship is listed under Area #4 Management so you should be good to go. Labor relations is also a good fit, it all come down to which one holds your interest. Harder to complete a course quickly if you find the subject boring.

Thanks! I think it has less quizzes and I own my own business so I hope to fly through it. Just bummed that I am going to be 1 credit shy of closing out the AOS. Having to take another course isnt the end of the world I just want to focus on the TECEP only. But thank you

Just curious, but how are you one credit short? Haven't looked back to see your whole degree plan, so just curious.

FIN-399 Special Topics in Finance CR 1.00 and then HRM299 from Sophia 1cr

I have these two 1 credit courses. I only need one more credit hour to close off the AOS. I want to finish all my credits then focus on the TECEP. Very close to being done. Friend coming into town next week so I want to use this week to finish everything I can. Finance, International management and then AOS.
