You work in an emergency management field?

I for one would be very interested in it. Not really feeling the college stuff, but I continue to enjoy my work-related training a great deal.

Myself and a few others just formed a company Emergency response team for our launch site. Went and got the Emergency Medical Responder cert, along with the Texas ECA. We will be getting our EMT-B starting this winter too. Fire and rescue next year hopefully. I am thinking these certs will look good on my resume and help show my supervisors that I am dedicated to my position but also my ERT member role.

Im really enjoying it. We will be a FRO soon with a medical director. We train every other week, but its about to be once a week. We are rural so we really need a good team, not to mention we will need a squared away crew for our astronauts.

We will start volunteering with the local EMS crew in a month or two, to help hone our skills and help out. We are in rural west TX and the local counties dont even have paramedics, and most only have EMT-b's, no intermediates either.
We are all on the same side here, trying to better our lives....so let's get along and help each other out.

Learn a trade. Gain technical skills. Make money, then use this money to get a degree...if you have the desire.

Upon completion of any of these courses, do you get a certificate? For the pds or anything else, and is it verifiable?

Disregard, doing the PDS and it gives me an option after each individual one to print a certificate. Hopefully give 1 for the complete PDS set vs the individual ones.

Most know about the pdf certificate. Download that pdf and keep. Keep link also.

Most do not know is that you can get an "official transcript' also. You have to email them or mail them the request form.

I will. I received the EM Certificate from them. I am waiting for the official transcript. Then I will say. Should be back in a few weeks.

Sorry I missed this.

Part of my job title includes public safety, which includes emergency management. We are by policy and regulation the first responders to stuff outside our primary wheelhouse, such as checking fire alarms and life safety equipment, conducting drills, environmental health and safety, and managing emergencies. It's for the state that I live in.
