If you can get accepted into colleges on that list, you're already bright. There is an argument to be made that spending 4 years of your life in a formal and structured environment learning what has already been learned is a waste of time if you want to develop something new.
It's not fair to use the resume of successful entrepreneurs against the resumes of those who want to be their employees.
You might even be able to say that if you took the really elite and bright kids- the top tier of the top tier and put them in a box for 4 years, teaching them nothing, that they could still come out on the other end and do great things.

True. Bill gates scored top percentile in reading and math on his SAT and was a self taught programmer at relatively young age when computers weren't all that common. He could definitely be very successful at whatever he wanted to do, with or without a college education.
