Their website says they did the initial inquiry with DEAC. They'll have to operate for 2 years before they could even apply, which they "haven't decided" if they're going to or not. They also inquired with ACICS, who told them they had to basically throw out their entire curriculum.

In the long run, I believe they'll run into issues w/ state licensing if they don't become accredited. I'm not sure if any state allows a non-religious school to operate without at least a plan to become accredited (granted, I haven't research Hawaii, where TRU is registered).

The program does sound interesting, at least different. It could be along the lines of the ENEB MBAs, something for personal enrichment if all else fails.

Maybe - could be quite expensive for that. Way more than ENEB. Depends where you draw the line between personal ENRICHMENT and personal IMPOVERISHMENT. They need Groupon.

Really hard to take any college seriously if they are offering a Groupon. That's basically saying we don't have any value in our product....here take it for practically nothing.

Maybe so.. Though we have a 55-page thread where many disagree with you and me on Groupon. I mentioned Groupon for a laugh - just my opinion that I wouldn't want to pay anywhere near the regular price asked, for a product like this. It should be priced near the ENEB level. I didn't say that intending to offend the "Grouponistas" - though looking back, I may have inadvertently done so. If so - sorry. Just a comment on pricing.

Keep in mind that ENEB is not in the US. Many employers won't give anything from ENEB a look. If you're completing an ENEB program for fun that's one thing. If it's for your career, it may not be worth anything.

Can be centered on topic and talk about the university of this post and not others. If not create another post... I think that new education centers are always welcome but always aproach them with caution. Time will tell us more how everything develops and graduates can bring more info. And possible the people with experience studying there are the one that can aport more, since they have experience and know more than us, or at least me, given they could see the works from inside and not only from outside.

We declined an invitation to apply for accreditation from Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools because the program, curriculum, and operational changes required would be detrimental to our students and negatively impact our ability to offer a quality and affordable business education online. We are open to considering relationships with quality-assurance or accreditation agencies if we find a good fit.”

They’re waiting for DEAC. I think it was a mistake for them to turn down Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. They should’ve took the NA to get some sales while waiting to become RA. Also their name sucks lol.

The monthly payments should be at least halved and spread across 2 years. Just require a payoff to receive a diploma.
