That is indeed supposed to be the new way via the web site, no need to fax anything. I am short on time but hope to update my post soon.

I just signed up my son for the 0001 Algebra course. He will start Monday. I predict this will take a good deal of time, a few months for sure. Should I open his ACE account now, or wait until he is almost finished...or finished entirely? I just want to make sure that I don't have anything to do that I'm not doing.
Thanks!

The ace registration can be done at any time, I did mine way before for other reasons, thus it does nto really matter.

It took me 85 hours (3 weeks) to complete the course. Comparing this course to studying for the DSST Statistics exam, I would have to go for the ALEKS course.
Even though it may seem longer, you gain more knowledge on the subject. & There is no stress over passing an exam (DSST Stat) Now Im just waiting on ACE to show the credit. Then I will proceed to transfer it to Excelsior

AVG -- do you know if ALEKS results in a letter grade? Apologies if I missed that somewhere in the thread. Thanks.

I have not yet received the credit on my ACE transcript. However I believe there is no letter grade associated with it.
The new DSST Statistics exam is without a letter grade. So in comparing the both, I would suggest the ALEKS route. Angel

Now, a quick question, since you still have a week left for your $20, do you think you have acquired enough stats knowledge that you could take the Stats for Business or Stats for Behavioral Sciences inside the week? If so, I think it might be worth another 3 credits. I think you are right on target about not having to stress out over the exam! GOOD JOB |
