UoPeople to Walden Transfer Equivalencies
#1
I'm currently in the Masters of Education program at University of the People, wanting to transfer as much of what I take to Walden's MS in Education (Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment).
Walden confirmed that they do take UoPeople credits, but couldn't tell me exactly what courses would transfer as what (credit equivalency). I only want to take the classes that will transfer as it'd be a waste of time and money not to.
Has anyone successfully transferred these or know how any of the classes will transfer?

Welcome to the board. Just curious... Why Walden and not a comparable program from WGU or even ACE.edu? You might also want to fill in the addendum and template here, to provide a bigger overview of what you're trying to accomplish and what you currently bring to the table in regards to previous credits or degrees. The more info, the better we know your scenario: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Awesome. I will try to fill in the addendum soon.
For Walden, it's because I need my Institution to be recognized in Germany (My husband and I are planning on moving there in a few years and they are pretty strict about which foreign universities the government recognizes).
WGU is a maybe, would have to be assessed on an individual case. I don't know about ACE, never heard of them, but I'll look into it. That's the whole reason I'm not graduating with UoPeople. I'd love to just do the whole Master's with them, but they aren't seen as a legit institution in much of Europe yet.

ACE is American College of Education. Private and I believe for-profit, but pretty low-priced and also regionally accredited, so I would think there would be a good chance of recognition in Germany.

If your budget is about 10k or less,  I would go with American College of Education (ACE), which accepts nationally accredited credits (University of the People is a nationally accredited school). They have a large number of education programs and your transfer credits will lower the cost of tuition. ACE will accept 9 transfer credits; most programs are between 31 and 33 credits. For example a program cost $8675 for 31 credits. If you subtract 9 credits if they transfer in it would come out to $6157 for the degree. The biggest factor is the school is regionally accredited although it is a private for-profit it shouldn't really matter, just make sure your country accepts the degree for the position you are looking for.
Degrees In Progress:
EVMS Doctor of Health Science
Completed Degrees:
Doctor of Healthcare Administration Dec 2021
Masters of Business Administration July 2022
Masters of Public Administration '19
Masters of Arts in Urban Affairs '17
Masters of Arts in Criminal Justice '16
Bachelors of Science in Police Studies '14
Advanced Graduate Certificate in Criminal Investigations '15

@Antegwyn1689, great updated addendum and template. Have you checked WGU as well? If you take 2 terms at WGU, it'll be the same cost to ACE.edu but, if it only takes you 1 term, you'll have an amazingly cheap Masters. You should review the webpages for both ACE.edu and WGU programs, check their classes requirements - some courses offered are different, some will like the content and others would not. Question: Are you also thinking of TEFL/TESL later on?
