FEMA & FREE College Credit courses
Fema is the best free way to earn credits. Once you earn them you'll need to get them matriculated. The best bang for the buck by far is getting it transcribed through Thomas Edison for $380.00. IF you think about it 31 credits for $380.00 is about $12.25 a credit That is half the price of a CLEP exam at 3 credits and a guaranteed pass as well.

Here is a list of what tests that were taken so that you don't waste time on ones you may feel you will earn credit on.

Greg, I would call Thomas Edison to find out why you did not receive credit for those two courses. They have course numbers assigned to them .

IS-00394.A - - Protecting your home was assigned EDM 241

I did not receive credit for IS-394. A. I completed the course June 11, 2007. My Thomas Edison State College transcript was issued July 5, 2007. I checked with them and was told they did not give credit for the .A course, only the 394. Will Thomas Edison State College now give credit for IS-394.A?

Yes they did that is why I listed their credit numbers as EDM

Tim as July 17th which is my most recent transcript, they awarded me credit for IS-394.A with their number EDM241 and with IS-005.A with EDM 154. I'm looking at my transcript as we speak and its on there as plain as day. Weird why they would not give it to you but yet to me.

I would call them again and tell them that you have a colleague who took the same course and was awarded credit with your transcript numbers EDM 241 and EDM 154. I would ask for them to look up those numbers and verify if they are linked to IS-394.A and IS-005.A.

That is odd also. On my transcript, they only listed the EDM number and not the FEMA course number (in addition). I had to do my own conversion to figure out which EDM matched which FEMA course.

I'll give them a call on Monday.

Thanks for the info.
