I understand what you are saying and we could probably debate this till no end but at the end of the day which looks better, the person with no degree or the person with an ASBA?

Depends on the job. If you want an accounting job, most companies won't take an AA. It's either entry-level, with no AA needed, or higher up with some experience, or a BA. An AA just doesn't do anything for you.

But I also say to check the jobs you are wanting. If a job says AA, then great - get an AA. But MOST jobs don't say that - they require no degree, or a BA. There's just not a lot in the middle.
