Algebra Course Recommendation

I've taken courses at both Study.com and Shmoop, but not for math courses.  I would recommend Shmoop if you have other non proctored courses you would like to take, especially if you are going for a BALS, I would take as many as I can handle in a months or two.  For StraighterLine - From this link, it shows you can use a calculator for the final - closed book exam.  https://www.straighterline.com/how-it-wo...g-details/

FYI, if you didn't get 100% on the first quiz/exam on the SL exams, you should be able to redo it - do it with a calculator! You should be able to bump up that score higher, with that first exam done.  What do you have for each of the 4 exams?  The final is 50%, each of the 4 exams is 12.5%  I would find out what your lowest score is, then work on those sections.  Review the others.

Thanks so much. I am actually only needing the one algebra class before I am complete for my core classes. 
So I was reading it right then, that my final is 50% of the grade?

I would say that if you take the final and don't pass the course, that you're probably better off either retaking it through SL, or taking it through Study.com.

Another option you have: try the Saylor exam.  It's worth $25, and it might be easier than retaking the SL course.  Another testing option: CLEP.  Remember that you only need about 50% to pass a CLEP exam, which is a much lower bar than the 70% required for Saylor, TECEP, SL, etc.
