I'm doing MAT140 right now. The PreCalc from Aleks and College Algebra did not satisfy Basic Mathematics for Business. This is a mix of elementary Algebra (mostly pre-Algebra) and Geomentry.
The content is very well explained, with several examples. The examples are written in a way to try and get you to think and get feedback. There are pictures, videos, graphs, etc explaining things. It actually does a lot better job then my geoementry teacher in high school... Only class I ever failed. I actually somehow understand it now? On Aleks Pre Calc I failed all the geometry questions but still had enough to pass because of my algebra skills and clever guessing.
I spent about 3 hours so far and am nearly done with MAT140.

I am very good at Algebra. So I was able to breeze through the Algebra content. There are quizzes that "test" your assessment before. If you test out of it, you skip straight to the assignment, which asks you to write/explain how to solve something, or asks you to adjust something. They ask you to SOLVE the sample in your own words. They're asking you to explain how the example is solved, they GAVE you the answer for.
I haven't done the assessment yet. I'm going to brush up for a few more hours on graphs/geometry as I hated those in previous classes.
