Hi guys. You may notice ss20ts and I are avoiding some questions. UMPI has a pretty strict honor code, and we do not represent UMPI. A lot of the questions we're getting is better for UMPI.
Please contact UMPI for your questions that we cannot answer. Your contacts are:
umpi-yourpace@maine.edu
Email that with your questions. You'd likely get Shea or Ashley answering you back. They're really awesome! They can even do Video Calls with you to discuss things. Since I'm deaf they were amazing with me when I was considering enrolling and went all out with even involving their ADA Coordinator to make sure I can be a good fit.
Those of us enrolled at UMPI usually talk to our professors, Jessica or Cody these days.
UMPI has a pretty strict Honor Code. If you want more information contact UMPI's Staff they're happy to share.
But I can give you some vague answers that you can find on their syllabus that are available to the public.
Multiple Choice Exams -- If your exam/final is multiple-choice, then you had multiple milestones where you had to write to your professor/have a discussion with them to show you understood the content. These discussions can range from you making a diagram, to you describing your own take on something. You must pass all of these milestones in order for your Multiple Choice Exam to count. If you don't pass them, then you don't pass your class. You will get your professor writing back asking you to clarify things.
Final Assessment Essay -- If your exam/final is an essay, the essay is open book for the most part. The instructions are extraordinarily detailed, a lot better than Sophia's or Study.com's for that matter. You can submit drafts so your professor can review them before you get your final.
