Well I am ashamed & reluctant to write this as grown person, but still here you go...
Did not know, what's CLEP few weeks back....
Now I have to take 6-7 exam, but can't study. I don't know whats wrong with me. Whenever I want to study I come up with excuse, like Job-Family-kid etc. In reality I know its BS, I just can't concentrate. Thinking of early morning or late night study, but still cant figure out how & when to study. When I was student I never had this problem. All I need few more credits to complete my BS from Thomas Edison. I know it is very important. I have plan to go for CPA next year, but then I think if i can't finish CLEP and few TESC exams, How will I pass CPA exams? I don't think subjects which I am taking is hard, I have good knowledge of business/finance due to work experience... so I know its not hard, but whenever I start to read... I feel I can't remember this. Damm it whats wrong with me? As grown matured person, I should know what is good for me... but still feel like i will not able to do this. I just don't know how people with responsibility in life can do their Masters? Strong mind? Discipline? Anyone was just like me and came out of it? Its sitting on my head and I feel guilty... but yes I just feel guilty , but can't do anything. My wife says you don't know how to study! Is any web source available for study tip/time table etc? Guide me please.
TIA
I know exactly how you feel. I started my college career in 1976. Yeah, pathetic isn't it. Now I am not going to allow myself to quit. I am a procrastinator and I put everyone else's needs before mine. I won't bore you with the details but it is easy to set aside my books to spend time with my grandchildren and/or children. I am working hard to "just do it." In addition to my advice above to schedule a test and then get to studying, make small goals for yourself. Otherwise it is a daunting project to consider. Look at it one class at a time and go from there. I don't know how to study either. I go thru the IC flashcards first, then supplementary information, then pre tests.
I just make notes and then notes of the first notes until I have at least enough memorized to pass the exam. Yeah, listen to me, the old sage, that has passed all of one exam. Let me get off my teeny little soapbox and defer to the veterans.
