An example I can think of right now that fits this thread is the UC-Boulder Masters on Coursera. No prior transcripts required, just sign up for the pathway and prove you can do the work. Masters with no previous college. It would not be easy to jump straight into that level of schooling, but there are plenty of people who have the ability out there.
