But, just as a point of interest, today is the day ironically sponsored by the UN to remember the Holocaust, whereas the Jewish people remember on Yom HaShoah, which takes place this year on April 14th.
Another difference is that Yom HaShoah is particularly for remembering Jewish Holocaust victims, like Roma Holocaust Memorial Day (August 2) is specifically for remembering Romani and Sinti victims. As far as I understand, International Holocaust Remembrance Day is for both, as well as for those killed in concentration camps (about half of Jewish victims were killed outside of concentration camps, and a small minority of people put in concentration camps were not Jewish, Romani, or Sinti).
