Jennifer bring on the questions but I will be better able to answer in a couple of weeks since I am the ultimate newbie at NCU.
I just submitted my first paper last night. It was tiny, a 1 page discussion about NCU's value statement and mission and some reflection on its impact on me personally.
The hard part was understanding their format, learning how to use my new Macbook(my toy for finishing my degree
) and getting into the groove.
I first submitted my paper to smarthinking for APA and structural help. Smarthinking tutors will evaluate your paper and mark it up for free if you are an NCU student. Its a great service and I will take advantage of it for every single paper. Might as well get my money's worth.
You can start any time really if you have the cash.
I called on Saturday, signed up as non-degree seeking, registered for business ethics, paid my tuition, was walked through the site by their enrollment advisor and finally was on my way to reading the syllabus and buying the e-book for the course. You could buy the books through amazon used if you want but I wanted the e-book.
The syllabus is really all you need to complete the entire course as it lays out the reading and writing assignments. You really just have to do the writing assignments but of course the reading prepares you for the content.
