That's ok. That often happens to me. Thank you for continuing to help me work through this.  It's been very beneficial, especially since you caught my error concerning Intermediate Algebra vs College Algebra.  I switched to C.A. today and I'm ready to start the initial assessment.

Unless something has changed, College Algebra w/Trig comes in as MAT-129, the same as Precalculus or Trigonometry on their own.

Thank you Merlin.  I switched from College Algebra/Trig to College Algebra as I thought C.A. wasn't ACE-approved (I had it confused with ALEKS Intermediate Algebra).  Now I'm hoping to get through College Albegra, PreCalc & Intro to Stats by 31 July.  If I do, I should take home 9 credits in math and be totally done with math for the rest of natural life  .... until I need it again. LOL!

Hate to hijack the thread but just a quick question. I signed up for the 48 hour trial today during lunch. I was trying to do the initial assessment. The site isn't very mobile friendly and I got to one problem that I couldn't possibly do. I couldn't even get the screen to show the I don't know option. When I log on with my laptop later, will I be able to finish the initial assessment or start it over?

Hi everyone,
I just took the PreCalc INITIAL KNOWLEDGE CHECK and scored a 72% on that. With that grade, am I able to request ACE credit? I am confused on aleks. Please help if you can. Thank you!

70% is passing, so yes you can request ACE credit

Thanks Nixi. Is there anything I have to do on the ALEKS end though before requesting it on my ACE tanscript? Or do I just leave my ALEKS account as is and just request it on ACE?

Just request via ACE.

Exit the program, you can log back in anytime to complete the initial assessment.  Aleks will take you to the place where you were when you stopped working.  I've been working on the initial assessment for a few days b/c I hadn't had time to finish it.  Sometimes, if I'm just overwhelmed by the question, I'll just close my browser or let Aleks log me out automatically due to inactivity and go to back to it later.  I'm currently working on a word problem - which I despise - that I started 24 hours ago.   Just don't answer the question or click "I don't know" because you cannot go back once you do.

I wish they would offer Calculus via Aleks. I really enjoyed the setup and completed that math course in the shortest amount of time than any other providers. They said they will try to keep the certification for those math courses but most likely won't add any new ones though unfortunately

Just signed up and done my initial assessment. Scored a 68%. I think I'd of rather scored 50% or something.

Correct me if I am wrong someone, but can't you force another assessment and try again since you were so close to that 70% mark?
