Sophia is now taking 8-12 business days to grade touchstones! I originally wanted to take Ancient Greek Philosophers and Approaches to Studying Religions as electives on my degree plan, but the few courses I've taken with a touchstone has taken for freaking ever to get graded. Can anyone refer me to a couple decent alternative Sophia credits without a touchstone I can take in place of these two courses? Thank you!

Unless you already have completed an intro to sociology course I'd stick with Approaches to Studying Religions because it fills 5A of the GEC. An intro to anthropology or certain geography classes would also work. Keep in mind both of the courses you mentioned fill GEC requirements and you need to have at least 40 credits in the GEC. It's best to do a class with Touchstones and one without them at the same time.

If you have two courses and maxed the number of courses you can take, I would email support and tell them to see if they can "open" a third courses you can work on while waiting for grading on them... Usually I recommend taking a course that doesn't require written assignments along with a course that does, so you can quickly get the courses done faster without having to wait.

I've also used chat to get faster response. Either way, you'll want to ask by name for the specific course to be opened for you.

Hey, I've merged the two threads with the same name and post content... there really isn't a need to duplicate the question in another thread.

Oh did I accidentally repost the same thread!? My bad BJ!
Also I wasn't aware you could request to take a third course at one time? Thank you guys I appreciate it!

Yup Ive already taken intro to sociology. Yeah maybe I'll suck it up and just take them, Greek Philosophers is only 1 touchstone, I suppose I can live with that. Sophia has been amazing so far! Their only flaw is the wait time on touchstones.
