Any hope for an old guy with old credits?

Sophia classes tend to be much easier than UMPI, so you could take them all at Sophia in a month or two. Then add the MAOL classes at UMPI to come up to 9 total, plus one more fun UMPI course.

That's basically what I would recommend as well, transfer all the GEC classes you can using Sophia.org or Study.com College Starter. Then take 10 classes that can't be transferred in, such as the MIS minor plus the 4 classes that can go towards the MAOL in case you want to do the MAOL later. Link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Un...esque_Isle

GEC + MIS Minor
Eng 211 OR Art 108
Bus 200 Intermediate Business Computing
Bus 245 Programming for Managers
Bus 345 Database Management Systems (Coursera: IBM Data Analysis/Visualization)
Bus 359 IT Project Management
Bus 440 Business Analytics

4 classes that can transfer to MAOL, but they will only take 3, I would do all 4 just in case you don't get a B in all of them
BUS 335 Organizational Behavior replaces OLS 550 Team Leadership and Collaboration
BUS 353 Legal & Ethical Issues in Business replaces OLS 520 Democracy and Ethical Leadership and Decision Making
BUS 440 Business Analytics replaces OLS 610 Leadership and Business Operations
BUS 469 Strategic Professional Communication replaces OLS 620 Strategic Communications

Since I'm picking only 4 of these from Sophia, compared to UMPI, do you think some are better than others (as far as ease/speed)?

Eng 121 (Sophia 1002: English Composition II or ENG 1020: Workplace Writing II)
Eng 151 OR Hum 184 OR Art 211 (Sophia ARTHIST 1001: Art History I)
Bio 105 OR HPR 101 (Sophia HLTH 1011: Health, Fitness, and Wellness)
Geo 101 OR Soc 100 OR Swk 105 (Sophia SOC 1001: Introduction to Sociology)
Hty 115 OR Hty 116 OR Hty 161 OR Hty 162 (Sophia HIST 1001: U.S. History I)
Fre 101 OR Spa 101 (Sophia: SPAN 1001 Spanish I)
Pos 101 OR 211 OR 332 (Sophia: HIST 1020 U.S. Government)

Before you do anything talk to the Registrar and appeal these courses with a good argument:

ENG 121, ENG 151, ENG 211 for either ENG 220 TECH REPORT WRITING or ENG 423 TECH PUBLICA WRITING
BUS 345 Database Management Systems for CIS 355 DBMS IMPLEMENTATION (Spell out DBMS when you appeal) <- This should go through

Every course you fight for is one less you have to take. If you can find the original syllabus or text books even better. Use the Purdue Legacy Course Catalog.

Look at the UMPI GEC more carefully and compare those to the Sophia transfer Wiki for UMPI as you have more options.

For Sophia I recommend taking:

HUMA 1012 Art History II (Instead of Art History I which has an assignment)
HIST 1001 U.S. History I (1 assignment)
HIST 1020 U.S. Government (2 assignments)
Job: IT Hiring Manager for a Billion dollar company.

Sophia Art History II was revised effective May 1 and it now has an assignment too.

I realize I'm putting the cart ahead of the horse here, but after I would get the BLS (with MIS concentration) from UMPI, I'm seriously considering continuing on with some RA master's degree (again with the goal of getting it fairly quickly and cheaply). Even though the MAOL from UMPI would probably be the most convenient (and maybe cheapest) option, given my past work experience leaning toward IT and many of my credits being tech/IT, do you think it would be better to get an MS degree (like MS in IT Management) from WGU (if it's possible to finish in one term) rather than a generic MBA from a place like HAU or the MAOL from UMPI?

What do you want to do with it?
BSBA/Accounting TESU (2016). MSA UIUC (2018).

Need help with portfolios? I earned 18 credits at TESU through portfolio evaluations. Nine of those were for upper level accounting courses. My advice for PLA/portfolios: TESU portfolio tips The first post has the Portfolio Checklist I created. Page ten has the actual narrative I wrote to receive credit for ACC-440.

Using Straighterline's Financial Accounting as a substitute for TESU's Intermediate Accounting I? Don't do it if you are an accounting major and/or want your CPA license. They are not the same course and I think TESU has erred in accepting the SL course as Intermediate I. I made this discovery here: Intermediate Accounting II.

I do not see a lot of difference for promotions or job seeking where an MS in IT Management vs an MA in Organizational Leadership would matter. If you did not want to get into upper management but a more advanced role then say an MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering would make more sense. I work for a billion dollar company and almost none of upper management including the CIO have anything more than a BA degree.

I'm not seeking upper management, just looking for something more presentable than the AS I have now. I guess it's tempting because I never even considered getting a master's before, yet it seems attainable. I sat with an associate's for 25+ years, so just getting the bachelor's would be great and may be sufficient. One other factor is that I'm an older gentleman now, so I'm wondering in the job market if it may help somewhat to stick a master's on the resume (also thinking of some of those job descriptions I see that mention bachelor's required, master's preferred).
