I would look at a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from any of the Big 3....be a lot easier to do than the homeland security IMO. Or you could look at Psychology/Sociology, that seems like a winner with RN/BSN. The TESC Natural Science degree might be a good fit too. Stellar GPA...well done!

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Is she looking to test out or take classes? She is very close to a LA degree, I would say COSC/TESC since they will take the FEMA free of cost.
Take a look at the degree wiki page TESC Degree Plans - Degree Forum Wiki plenty of ideas there.
COSC will be a little cheaper...but will require 2 classes taken there.
She needs 30 hours at the upper level....a liberal studies degree would mean she can work just about anything into the degree.

If the Rabbinical and Talmudic credits are accepted by ACE or from an RA school, she should consider a BA in Humanities from TESC, especially if her religion credits are upper level.

Is there some benefit on choosing "humanities" over a liberal studies option? They are both liberal arts, and neither is necessarily more employable than the other. Am I missing something? At least with Lib Studies she can claim (honestly) that she studied Homeland Security/Nursing/Business/ etc...

That's an argument I gave in another thread, but no one agreed with me. :p
I really don't see the added value in a humanities degree unless someone is looking to teach or be employed in one of the humanities fields. At least liberal arts/studies is flexible. One could argue that they have a significant number of science, mathematics, social science, etc. credits if they did so, but some of the members here did not agree with that notion. However, I have successfully argued my case and got interviews for jobs that require a criminal justice degree even though my degree is in social science.
Unfortunately, most homeland security and business courses would not end up in the area of study for a liberal arts degree. The credits would end up in free electives just as they would in a humanities degree.
Biology might be another degree program to look at. It's not easy to complete TESC's Homeland Security program without taking a few TESC courses; and, the same is probably true for EC and COSC's similar programs.

Thank you all for responding its such a beautiful great online community
excelsior accepted
66 credits from KBCC
15 from the rabbinical school
8 fema if I transcribe them by FCC
that leaves me with 30 credits left in Upper level including the capstone
I wonder if anyone can give me insight if TESC takes the same credits they only require 18 upper level credits for the homeland security BA
excelsior is only taking 8 fema out of 30 because they are all lower level
does anyone know if TESC would consider any fema as upperlevel
Thank you all again I love this place and hope it will lead to savings in time and money by selecting the right school
I already spent the money on an application to excelsior and TESC but I cant wait for TESC to finish the evaluation I want to enroll by September 1st

I don't know if any of the FEMAs will count as UL. They can be used to fill in the area of study electives for the Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness degree. They can also be used to fill in the free electives section for any degree. I think the limit is 32 FEMA credits. Usually, there is a 6-credit limit within the area of study for 100-level courses. I know for sure that some of the FEMAs are counted as 200-level courses at TESC.
If you are really looking into the Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness degree, the required courses are enough to cover the 18 UL credit minimum.
