CALLING ALL GENIUES.....Planning BSBA HCM
#1
Hello all this forum has been such an amazing resource for me and allowed me to get a BSBA a few years ago during covid.  Now i'm trying to help everyone around me finish their degrees specifically my best friend.  I tried to get her to go the UMPI route but she'll be the first graduate in her family and wanted them to all be able to attend the graduation in person so TESU it is, now on with the show.

So she will be getting financial aid and also tuition reimbursement if she does have to pay out of pocket obviously the cheapest way the better.  I came up with a roadmap someone in this forum used for pierpont I just adjusted it for TESU.  I've attached the roadmap GREEN is everything she's completed and BLACK is everything she still needs to take.

Your Location: Philadelphia, PA
Your Age: 30
What kind of degree do you want?: BSBA/Healthcare Management
Current Regional Accredited Credits: 6 (community college of philadelphia)
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: Yes
Any certifications or military experience? No

Thank you so much everyone for everything you've taught me and for even just reading this post.  I'm just trying to help everyone move up in life and reach their potential.

@glammie83, you've missed the addendum! A very good first post with the basic template, but having a bit more details in regards to your budget, commitments, study habits, etc would give us a bigger overview of your friends situation. I would suggest you to follow through with the WIKI for the remaining credits, you can update the spreadsheet and link us on your google or one drive, make sure to make the file viewable instead of editable. At the bottom, under categories, click the TESU Link for all the degree plans available: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Th...University

Pre-Med Online, MSc Biomedical Sciences (Starting Jan 2026)
In Progress: UoPeople BS Health Science

Completed: UMPI BAS & MAOL (2025)
TESU ASNSM Biology, BSBA (ACBSP Accredited 2017)

TESU BSBA HCM Roadmap

I updated it based on reading a bit more on the wiki.  She's prioritizing whatever classes are the fastest (self paced) and easiest although I know anyclass that is more than $200per credit would be out of her range.

Why are there 18 TESU credits? Is she planning on taking the capstone in a different term than the others?

18 + 11 is only 29. 30 RA credits are needed. Take the $25 1-credit ASU class to make up the difference.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Thank I will update it to include the 1 credit ASU class.  There’s no reason to take the 18 credits at TESU.  I know she’ll take minimum 15 to get the flat rate tuition so now she’s just missing one 3cr RA class.

Easy, take an e-pack or take the PLA-1010 which can add to your RA... a potential of 27 credits in one term...
Example: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ESU-course

glammie83 Wrote:Hi thank you so much for answering my questions on TESU an helping with the planning.  I just wanted to make sure i'm understanding this right to achieve the 30cr RA classes that are required she would only need to do the PLA or epack and the capstone? So she won't have to do the ASU classes because if she could skip those that would be great due to how expensive they are.

Basically... Your friend can take TESU's own exams (Lower Level TECEPs), community college courses and transfer them towards the RA requirements. You need a total of 30 credits, to hit that the easiest, you need to take the 15 credit flat rate (cornerstone/capstone, plus PLA-1010, and two e-packs).

Example... If you do the PLA-1010, you get up to 12 credits in addition to the 15, so you end up with 27 in one term. It's a lot of work and it'll allow you to skip the ASU classes altogether...If you need extra time, you can extend the capstone as long as you have 50% of it done and the professor agrees.

Honestly, for Healthcare Management, I'd check out XAMK to see if there are any management or healthcare-related classes that look interesting. XAMK classes are almost all 5 ECTS, so I'd complete 3 of them for a total of 15 ECTS. That'd be free (or almost). Get it evaluated by ACEI for $200 and that'd be more than enough RA and RA-equivalent credits.

10 ECTS would probably be sufficient, but one extra XAMK class shouldn't be that difficult. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/XAMK

Cheaper than everything else except passing a LL TECEP exam on the first go.

Yes, for the RA equivalent foreign credits, you may want to go the Finnish options or try the ENEB options and reverse transfer them. It really depends on how you want to swing things, you can review the WIKI for both options and complete them on route to getting your degree at TESU. Complete all the transfer requirements before you even work on anything at TESU...
