This would take longer - much longer as you'd have to wait a whole term and sit around twiddling your thumbs waiting. You also wouldn't be able to use financial aid for the second degree if that matters.
Ding Ding, this is the main thing with a double major and the only reason you want to do the double major. I highly recommend doing this instead of completing one degree at a time especially if you can double major. If you're going for say the BAS or BLS with a minor in CJ and then a BA Psych, that's a different story... as you can only do one degree at a time, those can't be done at the same time as a double major.

I'm about 2 sessions away from getting my BA in CJ and I've absolutely loved the experience, once I got past the Gen ED classes and could study the major I really dove in and am learning a ton. Any questions feel free to DM me.

One other thing is that the BA CJ and Psych, both have internship or practicums... If you're alright with that, then UMPI is a great option to select from, for those who don't want to do any practicums, then you have other options such as TESU, etc.

To clarify: TESU is an option for Psych, but not really for CJ. UMPI is the best option for CJ at the moment.

On Reddit, someone doing the Psychology program said that UMPI is developing an alternative class for the practicum that is expected to be offered beginning in the spring. I'm hoping this really is the case, as I'd like to avoid the practicum!

Hopefully they'll do the same for CJ then, I would expect delays, it may be going to be incorporated, but I would think slightly later, maybe a term or two after the Spring. Could probably happen in the Fall of 2024 though...
