This makes me wonder what happened behind the scenes. Like were they in trouble with ACE and this settled it?

I was sort of thinking something along those lines.  Just for the heck of it, I looked at what it costs to become certified with ACE or NCCRS.  It ain't cheap. Looks like somewhere around $12000-15000 just to get your foot in the door with a few courses and then $1000-1500 for each additional course, and a $1500-5000 annual renewal. So one has to sell a good number of courses (or have a different revenue model) to make it viable.

I'm not really sure how they could get into trouble with ACE - they never really changed their business model, so ACE knew what it was in advance and recommended their courses for credit then.
