PLA is prior learning assessment: Many people opt for that if they've taken a comparable course at another location or through different means, such as self study, experiential learning using free resources like Saylor Academy or other non credit bearing courses. You should just focus on your CLEP and DSST exams first.
Optional/Note: You should at least finish your courses you have with Southwest and have all completed course transcripts sent to TESU.
This way they have a record of what was completed for any type of evaluation they would have for you, and your options.

MrsHall Wrote:ok I understand and If i haven't applied with TESU yet, will CLEP/DSST send me transcripts so that I can transfer to TESU when I do apply? No, the transcript has to come directly from CLEP/DSST. You would have to have them send it later. I don't know whether you'd have pay then or not.

oh ok, would you say its possible to apply at TESU and when i get accepted just have CLEP/DSST transfer the credits without me even speaking with someone at TESU before hand? or would i have to speak with someone at TESU after getting accepted and just tell them ill be taking exams elsewhere and then check the evaluation on the site after each transfer?

Strange question, but no, you don't have to speak to anyone there if you don't want to. Once you're accepted, you can just send transcripts over and they'll keep adding them in. The only reason to tell them in advance is if you aren't sure whether a test will fill a particular requirement, or if you want them to add it to your evaluation as a planned credit.

Good Eye, as nationally accredited courses NOT transferable to TESU unless it's ACE or NCCRS recommended...
The course numbering system seemed a little strange, so I Googled one of the course #s and came up with Southwest University in Louisiana. It seems it's a sister college.

The good news is that you figured it out now before paying for a whole degree from them. We know the bad news, but let's focus on the positive.

I did the same, to see if I could figure out if Algebra 101 was Beginning or Intermediate. Figured out which school it was, but couldn't for the life of me figure out the levels of math they have.
