Quick question. I believe I need to get a 49 in order to pass the Criminal Justice exam. Does anyone know how many I would need to get correct in order to pass? Since the passing score is lower does that mean that I need to answer more correctly or would I need to get a lower number correct? Anyone have any idea?

I believe that the old "answer at least half of the questions correct" forumula is still the basic premise when passing an exam.

I took a thomson promethric criminal justice exam for the heck of it and I got 30 out of 50 correct. This exam is horrible because the score report doesnt even give me the correct answer, it just states "By definition" or "By experience" or "Per historical period". I even tried looking online for the correct answers and I couldn't find them. I got all of the fact questions correct. Is the exam going to be this difficult where I can't even rely on material that I have studied. From what people have experienced, is this how the exam is, or is it more straightforward with questions pertaining to known facts?

These are some of the questions on the thomson exam:
Measuring crime data by tracking a specific person through the entire criminal justice system is known as ____?
I selected UCR statistical analysis. It says the correct answer is "By definition"
I can't look at the other options on the score report which is horrible.
A woman commits a crime. At her trial, she is acquitted because of a botched prosecution. She is ____?
I selected legally innocent. It says the correct answer is "By definition"
The only other option for this was, factually guilty, or factually guilty and legally innocent.
