Wow, if it is $1500 price tag for the initial cohort, that's amazing! I wonder if they're going to apply this for the Spring and/or Summer 2026 cohort...

Doesn’t sound like the $1500 price will be the price once it goes public. Will be interesting to see what the cost will be.
Also, it was listed as $1500 for 6 months. So unsure how long they expect it to take.

As of yesterday when speaking with the dean of the school, they haven’t currently decided on a price for launch for the Spring or Summer sessions. Also, the link to apply that went live this week was supposed to be live only for approved company partners, but due to a mixup went live and searchable earlier and to the public.
I will be monitoring this situation closely to see how things work out. I am also interested to see how they incorporate AI. Like will AI be doing all the grading or will there still be instructor support and feedback.

Thanks, Johnathan, for sharing this opportunity. My brother was accepted into the pilot program, and we’re excited to see where it leads! The price is $1,500 for the pilot cohort, but I’m still figuring out how this program works. It’s quite intriguing.
I’m wondering if this might be a better option than some of the others for an MBA. The UMPI MSB and MAOL programs were really appealing, especially since they’re brick-and-mortar. However, I’m already enrolled in the Kairos Master of Leadership program, so the MAOL might be a bit much.
If I decide to go for the UMASS program in the future (assuming it stays at $1,500), I don’t think leaning towards the MSB at UMPI would be beneficial.

The application has been updated and is now available. The program is now called the MyPath MBA. The online application is straightforward with zero essay questions and no GMAT. The MyPath MAOL is $3800 for six months. I expect the MBA to cost no less.
The program is initially open to employees of the following organizations:
AAA Northeast
County of Riverside
Morgan Properties
SoCalGas - Southern California Gas Company
State Farm
Wakefern Food
It may be possible to obtain a waiver if you are not employed by one of these companies.

How did your brother submit official transcripts so quickly? Does he work for one of the approved employers or did he obtain a waiver? I applied but have heard nothing.
Thanks,
Chloe'

He applied a few weeks ago and, after following up multiple times with the executive office, his transcript was submitted to UMass digitally a few weeks ago. He was already admitted for the regular MBA too.
It seems like the program’s processing time can vary, and I haven’t received any further updates on my own application yet. Regarding the transcript submission, my brother did not work for one of the approved employers listed for the program.
I’m still figuring out how this program works and whether it’s the best fit, but I’m excited to see how the process unfolds. I’d recommend continuing to follow up with the executive office if you haven't already, it might help speed up the response time.

I am in the enrollment process now. Still waiting to hear if they will give me the $1500 price or not. I have submitted my transcripts. When I spoke to an academic coach, who was great by the way. She answered a ton of my questions. Since the program is new they are still figuring out a few things. But here is some additional information I was able to get. Take it with a grain of salt.
*Grading will be done all by AI. There is a teacher on the back end that you can reach out to for support if needed.
*With AI support, it's a personalized tutor, and directs you on course content, and helps identify the gaps. Assignment feedback, identifies weakness and recommends course assignments to read. We do have faculty support, not totally AI, but does Rubrik to grade, based on that and course content for faculty review for some assignments.
*Through AI powered, you learn your strengths and weakness and adjusts the content delivery of what you get based on that. It is on Mastering Skills not logging hours, so you can move through fast.
*She said that all course are available and unlocked once you start so you can work on anything that you like. No need to pass to get a class open.
*Every Course has 2 milestones and a final assessment. Instructors will review AI graded work and respond to student questions.
*They use a pass/fail system. So a passing grade works out to 3.0. Just like WGU.
*The first cohort for the pilot program starts Sept 2, 2025. New enrollees can begin their journey every Monday.
*They use the brightspace platform

I was able to take courses at Sophia that were pass/fail because I knew I would be transferring to a university where I could earn a high GPA. If the entire degree is Pass/Fail, how can one move on to a doctoral program that requires a GPA above 3.0?

There’s a quiet but extensive history of students with ungraded transcripts going on to higher programs that generally require a certain GPA. A handful of prestigious US liberal arts colleges use narrative evaluations fully in lieu of letter or number grades or make letter or number grades optional. Forms of pass-fail grading are increasingly seen in graduate programs, including law schools and medical schools.

Saying hello, I'm also in the enrollment process now for this pilot program. I applied 7/30 and sent 2 Parchment transcripts. Transcripts received and downloaded on 7/30, and the dashboard went from red outstanding to green received the next day. My Enrollment Coach stated that this part of the process takes a few days to a week, but I went ahead and emailed someone that I had sent them, in case it was automatically updated in the dashboard. I'm waiting for my acceptance letter now. Ricardo, the Vice Chancellor, Partnerships and Dean, has been with UMass Global for 15 years. That gives me a lot of confidence with this program.
The AI-powered personalized delivery is very unique, and I'm interested to see how the program adjusts and provides a personalized learning experience for me. Brightspace is the delivery platform. I saw the question about the grades, and usually when no grades are on a transcript, there is a qualifying message, for example: "students must meet an academic grade of B or higher to Pass completion of a course." I will ask Ricardo about this next time I touch base with him. My Enrollment Coach has been great. She has followed up with me on certain questions, and keeps me in the loop when she is working to find out an answer. She has texted, but as soon as I provided her my email, she has been just as efficient through email.
I wish all of you much success in the program and so happy to be starting it with you!
