New CBE Accelerated MBA from UMass Global

Seems like a very good program, but as I'm always cautious and like to read reviews before I embark on an educational journey, just like the HAU MBA, I'd like to review more positives before I recommend this program. Having said that, from everything I've read on this so far, again, seems like a very good program indeed...

Received my welcome email and formal admission too. I have set up my account and email. I still don't show a balance owed, but there seems to be other reports on Discord that it was confirmed that all will receive the $1500 price, so waiting for that confirmation. Don't see my access to Brightspace yet or any classes added.

Orientation seems to be available, but it lists it as the MAOL orientation. So waiting to see if there will be an AI-Supported MBA specific Orientation.

I applied on July 30th, and submitted 2 different college transcripts through Parchment.  I did not send anything extra, such as Credly. Within a day and a half, my application dashboard was updated to received status.

I sent a status update inquiry this morning to my Enrollment Coach, who informed me I was accepted (Aug 5).  She said I would receive an official email later.

This afternoon I did receive #2 of the first two emails. I called into the IT department ((855) 553-3007, Option #2), and that person then sent me email #1 that I had not received. Listed below are the numbers/order you should receive these.

• Email #1:  Welcome to the University of Massachusetts Global  (Info: Username, temp pw, student ID #)
  
• Email #2:  Welcome to MyPath (Info: Graduate new student orientation, academic coach meeting, financial responsibility agreement, financial aid)
  
  

Following that I was able to setup credentials, and connect student email to Gmail.

I did not sign up for the orientation since it was titled MAOL Orientation and the signup form required checking a box acknowledging the tuition policy.

As Spartacus mentioned, it looks like the information loaded so far is for the MyPath MAOL.  I don't see a MyPath MBA loaded, and when I tried to access various icons in my dashboard, I get access denied. There is no tuition invoice loaded yet, confirming the price anticipated.  However, another pending student received verbal confirmation today that it would be $1500, regardless of whether through a market partner or individual/internet search referral. 

From the areas I was able to access, it is quite a thorough setup. The online library looks robust (databases, journal finder, research, and dissertation support), and the support links include resources such as the Online Writing and Math Center (OWMC).

To me, it looks like they still need to update and edit some of the standard PDF/Word documents in the MBA Welcome emails to say MBA instead of MAOL, and other various branding info.

Today I received my Admissions Offer Letter, so this is what you should be on the lookout for:

Listed below are the numbers/order you should receive these.

• Email #1:  Admissions Letter (Info: Official offer into the MBA program on letterhead, via email, and team will reach out to set an appointment to cover info )
  
• Email #2:  Welcome to the University of Massachusetts Global  (Info: Username, temp pw, student ID #)
  
• Email #3:  Welcome to MyPath (Info: Graduate new student orientation, academic coach meeting, financial responsibility agreement, financial aid)

Additional info:

• $1500/6 months confirmed in writing, via Enrollment Coach today (she contacted the leadership team).
  
• They have 1 Grad New Student Orientation (NSO), so when you sign up, even if it says MAOL on the form they link you to, use that form.
