I'm close to finishing Films of the Cold War and I'm starting to think about my next class. With my U.S. and pre-modern requirements underway, I just need to pick a class to complete the non-Western one. I don't see any of the available non-Western classes on the wiki's degree plan page.
Does anyone have any experience with any of these classes?
- HTY 370 - Topics: Native American History
- HTY 370 - Topics: Arab-Israeli Conflict
- HTY 377 - Modern China
Also, if I wanted to for the UL electives, would UMPI let me take 2 topics classes? (the two HTY 370's)

I did Arab-Israeli Conflict. It was one of the "fastest" courses I did in my major, if that's a concern, and I also personally enjoyed it. I didn't take the other two, so I can't speak to them.

Thank you for the input! Tbh, I'm more concerned about not choosing a "long" course than I am about choosing a "short" one. Arab-Israeli Conflict sounds like it'll be interesting, so that's the route I'll be taking. I'm actually pretty interested in all 3 of these classes, so I might take the other 2 if I don't hear bad things about them (and if I'm allowed to take another Topics class).
Just requested the class. Will see how this goes

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to take HTY370 twice since they are different topics. That's probably a question for your academic advisor.

You should be able to fill available UL history electives with any 300-400 level history class you want. At least that's how it was when I went through the program in the spring.

Yea, it's been a pretty enjoyable class so far. I feel like I've learned a lot from it.
I heard it was short, but I never expected it to be this short. Only 3 outcomes, one of them being "Are You Ready For the Final Assessment?" and another being a simple introduction to globalization. Currently writing my final assessment right now lol

Awesome work! Are you taking these courses for the History Your Pace degree or minor? That was fast, you're correct, it seems like a pretty good yet quick class... OK, never mind, seems from your older posts it's the BA History/Political Science on Your Pace ...
