Online Bachelor or MBA under 4000$ in Uganda
#1
Hi, I was searching for sobat in Switzerland and came across this Uni in Uganda.
there are better options available, but I thought I'd share it. Looks like they are accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

The Bachelor degree costs $3822 and MBA $3508.

Right. And if you read it, you'd see it's a mixture of in-person and online. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST YOU TO LIVE IN UGANDA?
Don't EVER be lured by a price-tag alone. Read the whole offer. On ANYTHING. That's Business 101 - pre-MBA.

Why do you feel the need to write capital letters and address my post in a condescending manner? I'm happy that you made it past Business 101 and share your wisdom.

I read their offer and informed myself. I asked admission if it's possible to take the whole program online and they said I can do it entirely online. Don't jump to conclusion and ask questions. Common sense 101.  Thank you

The brochure says this:
2-day weekend modules
once every two weeks.

Does that mean a residency? Or you have to be on campus?

The website says this:
We work with a blend of classroom and online learning.

Course modules will run over a full Friday and Saturday, once every two weeks. In between classroom sessions, students will engage online with webinars, discussion sessions and assignments.

In their second year projects, students will be expected to specialise and gain practical experience in one or more of our core industry sectors: Health, ICT, Agri-business & food processing, Tourism, and Energy & Oil

So you need to be on campus often.

This is odd:
A pass in the examination for
graduate admission

At all of the grad programs I've looked at I've never seen one where I needed to take an exam for admission.

Be forewarned that many times admissions will tell potential students one thing and then they find out once they're in a program that it's not true.

I'm also not sure how well a university in Uganda will look to the rest of the world. You can complete an MBA through a US university for $3000 at the Hellenic American University in New Hampshire. That would probably be better career wise for most people than a school in Uganda. Also be sure to really investigate international universities. Many are not what they appear to be.

Yes you are right. I've noticed that with other schools too. I wouldn't trust admission and get everything in writing.
As I mentioned, better options are available and I personally prefer to stay local, no matter what the price tag is.

I'm very happy to see developing countries slowly move and try to get more people into higher education. This is good for us all, as a whole.
