Quality of Education Through Testing
#11
B Smith Wrote:I've found few people who have an issue with a big three degree vs. a b&m school. You still need to learn the material. The difference is that you don't have a professor to hold your hand. You don't have a bunch of filler tasks designed to keep you busy. You can't use social tactics like sitting up front and extra credit efforts to boost your grade. It all rests on your ability and understanding of the topic.

What? No sweet talking the college board? Wink

Quality of education is not an argument for who is smarter, it's about how much a person can learn through any given method of instruction. Most students take the shortest route from point a to point b in any educational system, but those who are motivated to learn the subject will normally out perform smarter students.
Countdown to Graduation:

ECE World Population
ECE Cultural Diversity
ECE Psychology of Adulthood and Aging
ECE Social Psychology
ECE Foundations of Gerantology
ECE Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing

You also need to consider what you are trying to accomplish. Most people never use the material they learn in college. What a college education does for 90% of us is:
  • Open doors that are closed to those without a degree.
  • Teach us to think and learn.
  • Teach us how to come up with a plan and execute it.

At the end of the day any real degree accomplishes all three real educational outcomes. The difference is that a degree received through testing is quicker and costs you much less.
