First, I've been looking at degree options again. I was leaning towards an LDAS at TESC, but now I'm thinking of possibly double majoring, so chances are that I'll have to fulfill the normal core requirements. I see that the personal & social responsibility courses are listed on the core of almost all the degree plans. The courses within that category are:

Personal and Social Responsibility (9 credits)
Institutional Outcomes include: Diversity/Global Literacy and Responsible Global Leadership, Lifelong Learning
Examples include courses SOC-322 Cultural Diversity, COM-335 Intercultural Communication, PHI-384 Ethics and the Business Professional
3 credits Diversity/Global Literacy
3 credits Responsible Ethical Leadership
3 credits of Personal and Social Responsibility electives

The first degree would probably still be the LDAS, but the second degree might be sociology, psychology or social science.
I was just reading this thread:
http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...tions.html
which mentions that the Intro to Sociology CLEP can be used in place of the Diversity/Global Literacy credit. I've already taken ethics & sociology through a community college. Would they count for any of these requirements? Also, are there other tests which can replace the requirements? Specifically I am wondering about the Business Law CLEP.
---------------------------------------------------
Second, I'm hoping to actually just get as much done as I can before I apply to TESC. I know this is a long shot, but if I go in & already have all 120 credits complete, what all would I actually have to pay for in order to graduate? I'd like a price with & without the capstone course. I took capstone at the community college, but again I am not sure if they'll let me apply that credit.
Thanks!

Yes.

There are quite a few CLEP/DSST/Straighterline options available, compare courses in the link with TESC accepted tests. Business law is a business course or free elective, NOT a general ed course.
General Education Courses
CLEP - College-Level Exam Program
I assume the capstone course for the LDAS is the same as for a BA degree. As far as I know this course must be taken at TESC, and it definitely won't be accepted from a community college since the capstone course is upper level, and TESC doesn't give upper level credit for CC courses.

Are you saying that area of study courses are no longer going to be accepted into general education requirements?

No. Only liberal arts courses can be used in general education. The liberal arts are natural science (TESC includes computer science in this), mathematics, social science, and humanities. Most business courses are applied-professional, so they don't fall into the liberal arts categories. Only something like Organizational Behavior, which can either be a human resources/business or psychology course, can be used in general education.

I see. I'm wondering if the Business Ethics & Society DSST (which I already took) can be applied to TESC responsible ethical Leadership or the elective?
I also took a class called Contemporary Ethical Dilemmas at a community college that TESC's evaluation stuck in general education electives rather than putting it in the "Responsibility" section as I'd hoped. They said it transferred as PHI 299, but when I look on their website, there is no course *at all* in the entire philosophy section that has a course number 299.

Course codes ending in 99 are generic. TESC was unable to find a match for those courses. You can always petition TESC to have the CC course moved. I think you can use that DSST; you can definitely use Ethics in America.

I took a course in CC titled, "Contemporary Moral Issues" it was a philosophy course. TESC transcribed it as PHI-180 Intro to Ethics and it was placed in my gen eds. I sent an email asking why my ethics course doesn't fulfill the ethics requirement, and they moved it to the proper section.

OP, I think these three classes from your previously posted transcripts would complete those 9 hours:
SOC101 - Sociology I - 3cr
PHI112 - Ethics - 3cr
WST240 - Goddesses & Women in Ancient History - 3cr
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits
