Hi all,
I have my graduate level education options narrowed down and had a clarifying question about Western Governors.
With a Masters/MBA from WGU with 'no' GPA (I know they recommend a 3.0), has anyone been approved to a PHD/Doctorate program?
I've seen a lot of responses in other threads about having no issue getting into other Masters programs with a WGU Bachelor's but would love to hear about going from Masters to Doctorate.
Thanks in advance

I can't give you an answer based on personal experience, but if admission is competitive, you won't be competitive with a 3.0. Some doctoral programs might require more than a 3.0. My PhD program, for example, requires a 3.5 master's GPA. Still, not all of the people who met the minimum requirements were accepted. If admission isn't competitive or is only slightly competitive, then you will probably get by with an explanation.

I thought I saw that someone from here or TechExams went from the WGU MSIA to the DSc at CTU. Can't remember who.

I believe that was @Stretcharmy here on degreeforum, but he doesn't appear to have it listed in his signature anymore.

If CTU is Colorado Technical University, I wouldn't be surprised. They are owned by Career Education Corporation. Career Education Corporation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I live in Colorado Springs and have a friend who attends there. He doesn't give them good reviews.

Colorado Technical University will accept just about anyone. It's rare for a for-profit college to have competitive admissions, even at the graduate level. Capital Technology University doesn't mention a GPA requirement for its doctoral program. They want a related degree, experience, and a certification.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
