If you don't have an active sub and you try to use it, then contact support and ask why not. Worst case they'll say you can't ever have been subscribed, which would suck since I haven't seen any codes that work that way before and it sets a bad precedent. Best case they can make it work for you or give you a different code that will work.

I just tried it (my membership had expired) and it did not work. But I tried REUP50 and it took off $50 with only a membership in the cart!

RENEW50 just worked for me to renew my membership only at checkout-- and I'm certain I'd used it in the past. Maybe some codes reset at some point? Either way, it doesn't hurt to retry old codes.
Also-- 'Tis the season!? I sure hope we start to see some other discount codes, to help us thru the most 'expensive' time of the year.  Wishful thinking!

If you clear your cookies and visit their website, you'll likely get a popup when you visit/exit. I got one last night but when I entered my email it wouldn't show me the code. (probably thinking, "heck no woman, you already used too many codes!" )
