I am devistated!! Principles of Marketing - scored a 48. Yes, two darn questions from a passing grade. Studied the flash cards, as well as the textbook. Passed all the online "sample" quizzes, but quite frankly, found the questions on CLEP to be worded completely different than the flashcards. A lot harder than I anticipated... :reddevil:

Doing Quizzes alone wont let pass .You also have to read the book or try to find the study material online .I simply google my prep. for CEPL tests.

I know how frustrating it can be to get so close and come up short. Sometimes the way they word some of these questions confuses me. Once I spent five minutes on a single question because I was positive both A and B were correct.
I'm sure there is an alternative out there, or if you're going to wait until you can test again, I suggest using different study resources.

Took this clep today and got a 40. Used IC, REA, and listened to Principles of Marketing on itunes. Studied on and off for about a month and then studied everyday two weeks before the test. I really thought I was going to pass it. UGH. To me, the test seemed harder than what I was studying. I guess I'll wait the 6 months to retake it again. Now onto Management!

Ouch, that's disappointing. What other tests have either of you taken, and how did you do?

I failed a test too, it's a real kick in the gut. I don't know if this was your first test or not, but if you can get past it and keep going, it'll pay off in the end!!

Overstudy for every test. Hard work never killed anybody.
The marketing CLEP test was the easiest one I took but I have been exposed to marketing in business. To some people psychology may be easy.
I did read the entire REA book cover to cover though and I recommend you do the same. Flashcards reinforce learning but I don't think there is enough content in the flashcards to cover all of the exam objectives.

I got a 67 on it just studying the IC flashcards. But then again, I also studied for the Advertising and Marketing Com TECEPs so that information probably mapped over to boost my score. Tough break

This clep was my first one. At first I got discouraged that I failed but 6 months will be here before you know it and hopefully by then, I will have most of my cleps completed!

How hard did you study? I'll admit I failed marketing the first time I took it; I only went through the flash cards once. A couple years later I took it again and went through the flash cards 10 times each, and read a few things on wikipedia about marketing. As you can see my latest scores are much higher than when I started doing CLEP and DSST. I became more proactive, studied longer and harder, and my scores became much higher. You'll have no problem passing this test next time, I know you'll do better
