This is great to hear. Once I finish the ALEKS courses (51% through Intermediate banghead), I will be starting with Study.com for the year-long program to get 72 credits. For $990 it really seems like a great deal and the videos sound so much better to me than having to read textbooks. I can't wait to get started!

Videos worked better for me, but sometimes I'd be overloaded just watching them, so I'd switch to reading the transcripts to mix it up. I really liked having the option to read or watch.

I enjoy reading your posts so I was wondering if you had any feedback since it's been a while for these courses and the website overall?
Yes and no. We downgraded from the testing option since I realized very early on that physical science test wasn't happening for my kids. That said, I have a good overall impression of that site for adults. I'm still not loving it for kids just because it's 100% video-quiz learning, which is just so blah. I had TONS of physics labs with my kids this past school year, they did 2 per week all year, and the study course was really just noise for them. For *me* I would have had no problem going through it and using it. I think it's fine for adults.

It fit my style of learning very well, and I was more than prepared for the exam through the videos and quizzes. I definitely recommend it.
These are my sentiments exactly. If you prefer a more structured, self-paced learning style, and more of an "all in one" solution, you simply can't beat Study.com. Also, underneath all of the videos are written transcripts of each video. I do much better learning written material as opposed to watching / listening to it, so the transcribed written lessons are perfect for me. I'm taking 11 of my 14 remaining classes through them, and I'd take all 14 through them if I could.
Now if only I'd gotten started while their 20% off coupon was still active...

Hi, This is Study.com. Thank you for the feedback on our college courses as well the usefulness of our courses for children.
We had received similar feedback about the videos and quizzes for children before and have tried to address this by adding more activities and labs to our courses. For example, you'll see new physics labs and activities in this course: Physics: High School Course - Online Video Lessons | Study.com
If you have any additional feedback about how we can make Study.com an even better resource for kids, we'd love to hear it either here or by emailing support@study.com.

Just wanted to add my experience with the two Study.com courses I took. I ended up taking 2 months to complete 2 courses: Human Resource Management and Principles of Management. You do not need to take as much time as I did. In fact, I made a huge mistake when I first signed up for study.com in May, which is my busiest month. I over-studied for HRM, watching each video, retaking the quizzes to get 100% each time, and devoting more hours than I needed to. Out of necessity, I squeezed Principles of Management into 3 days. I didn't read or watch the material and just rushed through all the quizzes, retaking them if I didn't meet the minimum score. Then I did all of the practice exams for the chapters and the practice final exam (reviewing all answers) before jumping into the actual final. I wish I would have spent less time on HRM and saved myself the extra $200 but thus is life. I recommend study.com and those two courses in particular. Just make sure you manage your time wisely so you don't waste money like I did. You could easily knock out both courses in 2 weeks.

I appreciate that effort!
For *me* I don't want them on the computer for 100% of the class, but that's just me. So for that reason, it's impractical that it could be a perfect fit for my kids. But thanks Study.com for being so adaptive. All the best.

I'm considering taking a course on Study.com. For people who have taken it, how long has it taken for your final proctored exam to be graded?

I got both of mine back within about 5 days.
That was my one complaint with Study.com. They're multiple choice, so it doesn't need a human element to score the quiz. But I still had to wait to get a grade.
In my opinion, as soon as you're done with your exam, you should see a screen that says something like "Your preliminary grade is XX%. If we don't find any irregularities after review of your recorded exam session, this will be your final grade and a confirmation will be sent at that time. Otherwise, well will contact you with more information." Or something similar.
But for some reason you have to wait to see something that should really be immediate. I understand the proctor is not live so they need time to review it, but there should still be some indication of how you did while you wait for them to check that you didn't cheat or whatever.

Thanks--couldn't find a post where anyone mentioned how long grading took, so that's helpful!
