Study.com New CS Courses
Just finished the database management final exam and assignment. As long as I pass the assignment, I will pass the course very comfortably.

On to System analysis and design!

I know the calculus from SDC is watered down, but since I don't have to do calculus II I am seriously considering it. Both my BA in CS and AS in Math don't need higher than Calc I so I may do it after.

I’m doing discrete math right now, I’m a bit slower than I would like (I normally fly through SDC courses), it feels to me that the difficulty is not well adjusted, it starts a bit harder than become quite easy, I’m at 50% right now

How was the exam? How much is based on you retaining the formulas by heart?

Yeah the discrete math is not that hard, but its not eaiser either. I think so as well. Its like a bell curve, it starts easy, gets a bit harder then easy again.

Well as long as you can calculate permutations, combinations etc you'll do fine. Memorize those formulas.

Other than that the other stuff on the exam was basic questions about logical decisions, definitiions abd stuff like that, but a fair bit of questions were based on permutation and comninations and calculating them.

The final for Discrete Math wasn't that hard. There were some questions about the harder portions of the material, but they made up a much smaller portion of the final than they did of the course. It also depends on your background, as I was taking it as a math course and don't have much CS knowledge, so the parts that were overly computer-y were tougher for me

Just completed system analysis and design. Uploaded the two reports and took the final exam. I passed the final and based on what others are saying I expect to have to redo the assignment. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

I'm off to doing SDC Calculus I as I think I can finish it faster than SL courses even though I already bought it. I don't need higher than Calc I for my math and CS degrees so I will just do Geometry next and then I'll be done with SDC. Wish me luck!

Just a quick mention, the final project for Database management was excellent! Well laid out and detailed. Got my results today I passed with flying colors!

Database Management is the best UL CS courses right now.
