Study.com raising grade

Recently I was surprised to find that after taking the exam, you can't retake quizzes to raise your course grade. I liked the good old days when you could.

Can you redo an assignment after you take the exam to raise your total course grade? Or does it just raise the assignment grade and the course grade stays the same?

If you didn't pass, redoing the assignment should raise your grade. If you did pass but you want a higher grade, I'm not sure.
