I would've liked to take AI, even if it didn't come in as an UL class. Oh well.

There are a few Microsoft AI certifications with UL ACE credit endorsements. You could use the SDC courses to study for those exams. TESU may view them as Microsoft-specific IT certifications, though, and not give you the expected equivalencies.

Yeah, I've been considering doing that. I may not. I've got assignments to finish for SDC first.

Yeah this is very unfortunate. I don't understand why TESU would block such a wide swath of courses from an otherwise close partner. A handful of the SDC cybersecurity courses do have content quality issues but the rest are decent.

I used several of the SDC courses on this list to prep for various certification exams accepted by TESU and took a few of the SDC exams as a gamble. This note from the registrar was placed on my academic evaluation in response.
This roadblock may end my pursuit of TESU's BS in Cybersecurity. I really wanted that degree, but TESU puts up too many barriers. It likely can't be done without several semesters of courses at TESU. Y'all were right about that.
I'm just about done with by BSBA and need to just get my undergrad over with. I could look at Excelsior but I'm already in deep at TESU. Switching to the TESU BSIT or BSTS could work, but then I'd need to get physics or chemistry or some waiver.

It's a tough one, for those international students (or local ones) who want to continue at TESU, you can take the course at Study.com along with the Microsoft Certifications for LL/UL, and use them both for PLA credit towards a BSIT or BS Cybersecurity. I think that would be a very good option to net up to 18 credits for about $1400 or slightly more... PLA should satisfy the RA requirement and you can do 16 more RA for removing the residency waiver fee...

The following Study.com courses completed after 12/31/2019 are not accepted in transfer for any degree or certificate program at TESU.
COS 107 Database Fundamentals
COS 108 Intro to Networking
COS 110 Intro to Cybersecurity
COS 202 Network & System Security
COS 204 Database Programming
COS 331 Cybersecurity Risk Analysis Management
COS 332 Cybersecurity Policies & Management
COS 335 Mobile Forensics
COS 336 Network Forensics
COS 106 Intro to Linux
COS 203 Defensive Security
COS 220 Fundamentals of Routing & Switching
COS 311 Artificial Intelligence
COS 321 Ethical Hacking
COS 323 Wireless & Mobile Networking
COS 335 Mobile Forensics
COS 336 Network Forensics

The exclusion is still in effect, and a bit broader than I expected. BSIT is substantially impacted in addition to Cybersecurity.

It almost seems like Study.com made those courses specifically for the TESU BS IT program but then TESU rejects all the courses lol.

I would not do IT or Cybersecurity at TESU as it will take multiple terms to complete your degree.

You would be better off at WGU or PUG for international students. We recently had someone on DF do PUG in 2 terms.

Why bother, if they won't even transcript it?

TESU completely revamps the IT degree making it nearly impossible to get alternative credit for any of the courses. One might be inclined to think that was intentional. We will never know since they don't communicate.

I'm glad I already finished mine. I have to agree that it doesn't make any sense to recommend the degree to anyone now. There are better, cheaper choices.

To build your knowledge. Learn something new. Every course doesn't need to have credits attached to it.
