Couple of quick questions on the AAS Env./Safety at TESC.
What is the minimal for the math requirment if ALEKS is used? Intermediate or College Algebra?
Will the College Math CLEP satisfy the Math requirement?
Which CLEP English Comp do they accept? Is the Essay required?
I know they take 21 credits from FEMA for the major....but how many more will they accept as electives?
Anyone have the FEMA list for what TESC accepts for credit?
Thanks in advance, I'm working up a plan for my supervisor at work.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
I got the AAS Env/Safety in December.
TESC gave me 3 credits for Aleks Intermediate Algebra
Fema credits - 22
College Comp or Modular - Both have essays - Modular=3 credits College Comp=6 credits - I went for the 6 credits.
Get the Fema list from TESC catalog.
I finished the degree requirements for that degree today.
-Use any math course (my evaluation took intermediate algebra or you use algebra, stats, or something else other than elementary algebra) or yes the college math clep will satisfy the requirement
-Use college composition to satisfy the english requirement. This is the "non-modular" test and has two essays
For the cap on FEMA credits I can't help you, I have moved in other credits am only using 10 FEMA credits for my AAS Enviro, Safety, Security Tech degree.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.
I still cant find the fema, nor view that attachment

When you click on it and it comes up, click on it again and it should get even bigger. I tried to upload a PDF but the file size was too large...
They gave me this list yesterday so it should be the most updated one.

All the clep options for Eng Comp require the essay now?

I wouldn't say that, I'd say that to get the six credits needed in ENG Comp you need to take the essay test. If you were to take the modular exam it would only count for ENC101 so you'd be short credits unless you had something else to use there.
I took the College Composition exam (and am waiting for scoring) so I don't know what happens if you take the modular exam. It appears that depending on the school you select it may or may not give an essay. If you're going to spend the money on a test you might as well take the six credit test.

TESC will apply up to 32 FEMA credits, but I don't know if they would have a lower limit for associates programs. Nothing on the website indicates that they do.
I am still awaiting all of my transcripts to arrive at TESC, but they have evaluated my FEMA transcript and for the degree you are looking at they are showing 21 in the career track and the other 11 in free electives, so all 32 are being applied.
