TESU Business Core questions
#1
Having had a look at the TESU Business Core roadmap (Sample TESU Business Core Roadmap - Degree Forum Wiki (miraheze.org), I have a question:

Does the Information Systems CLEP transfer as CIS 1070? TESU's website says otherwise: Thomas Edison State University - Listing of CLEP Exams (smartcatalogiq.com). I'd prefer to take the CLEP.

@Yenisei, If you're inclined to take the CLEP, do so. You don't have to take it at Sophia.org or another ACE/NCCRS provider if you don't want to. They just require a CIS/CS course to fill the spot, it doesn't have to specifically be CIS-1070, it can be any lower level class that can fulfill that spot, you can take it with any ACE/NCCRS provider or do the CLEP/MS option for free.

I took the Info Systems CLEP, and it does transfer in as COS-101, which is COS-1010 today.

It does fulfill the Computer requirement in the business core.

Thanks for confirming that. The BUS 2100 requirement- can I substitute another class for the CSM Learn course? I have taken Calculus and I have an extra 3 credits in Statistics.

I should mention that this would be for a second bachelor's degree.

"The BUS 2100 requirement- can I substitute another class for the CSM Learn course?" Yes, that's the course to take... It's a requirement now for the Business degree, required for all AOS options as it's been added to the Business Professional Core.

CSMLearn or taking the class from TESU itself are the only way right now to meet the BUS-2100 requirement. Thankfully, CSMLearn is relatively fast and cheap, especially if you have no problems with math.

Yes, I wouldn't want to waste the tuition on the course requirement, you just need the Capstone and pay the residency fee. If you're looking to do the 15 credit flat rate option, then you can decide on a double degree instead or something along the lines to max the usage of the flat rate fee, such as adding a cert/associates or bachelors.

I am planning to use the 15 credit option and will use the remaining 12 credits towards a double major- maybe Accounting & Finance or Accounting and Healthcare Administration (if that's still possible).

CSM Learn is really easy.
