OK, I should update my post #18. I had UMASS Global in the second and subsequent sentences but started off without the Global on the first sentence. I meant to say, UMASS Global is hackable, and I would guess LevelUP meant the same when I quoted the previous message.

Just curious, ( and if this has been answered before, I apologize), what exactly does "hackable" mean? Does it mean easier to finish? Does it mean they take more credits (transferred in) than most, thereby less time spent in the program?

Interesting, I would say UMGC and UMASS are pretty much similar in hackability for those who know their system well enough. Both do allow up to 75% transfer into each of their degrees. UMASS Global was Brandman, their main difference with UMPI and is that the ACE requirements are 81.5% on ACE credits vs COSC at 80% or the regular 70% for UMPI and other providers.
The 81.5% transfer requirement is a big deal, especially if you are trying to do a harder degree such as computer science.
They allow up to 75% but how do you transfer in 75% if you don't know what goes where? Every business course, according to the Study.com & Sophia equivalent lists, transfers in exactly as BUSU 10000.

A Hackable college can mean a combination of things such as:
- Allows a lot of credits to be transferred, such as 75% of the degree
- The ability to max out those 75% transfer credits using alternative credits
- Clear mapping of credits and easy to figure out a degree plan
An on-campus college course takes an average of 100 hours to complete. Alternative credits, such as CLEPs or Sophia, can take 20 hours or less.
So, "hacking" a degree saves a lot of time and money.

Yes, 'hackable' does mean getting your degree requirements cheap, easy, fast, compared to the traditional method by use of alternative credit options, including challenge exams from the institution you're deciding to attend. It provides better ROI/Value and you can personalize that by deciding which options yield a better result...
