I attended an information session last night regarding the UCA PhD program and wanted to add a couple details I learned from it.
The typical time to complete the degree is about 4 years, with some students doing it in 3 1/2 years.
There are required courses which are delivered synchronously. It is not an entirely asynchronous program.
There are two new concentrations that are planned to be added for next fall: Higher Ed and Reading.
The deadline to apply for next fall is February 1st.
It is competitive admission with committees in each concentration deciding who to admit.
I hope that helps anyone who is considering it. I decided against it mostly due to its synchronous aspects.
