Addicted to CLEP?

burbuja0512 Wrote:......Too bad all of us on the board here don't go to the same testing center! I totally feel like a weirdo when I jump out of my testing center wanting to shout for joy and high-five people. lol I've actually become a little obsessed with testing. I am actually glad that my husband and son have a lot of testing ahead of them so that I can continue to be a part of it even when I'm done with my own tests.

True! It is really hard sometimes to leave the room quietly. I was so excited when I passed one of my exams and found out that a fellow tester passed the Calculus exam (!) that I gave her a big hug!

It is a definite high (ego-wise anyway!) If the $100 per test did not have to be worked into the budget...I'd be a real junkie.

:iagree: That post is just so funny, but true!!!

I had Praxis to study for after I took my last CLEP, but I haven't had a test to study for since July. I have deffinetly had major withdrawal sympthoms.

Last night I took the first Petersons practice for CLEP History I. I took it cold I haven't taken a history course since High School which was a Veerrryyy Lllooonnnggggggg time ago. I only got 52 out of 120 right, but I felt good I said well I can just study a few days and I am good to go. So I know I will never finish this History BA but it has given me an excuse to give in to my addiction.

By the way at my last CLEP I was so singleminded going in and so elated comin out it took me 10 minutes standing in the parking lot to realize the college was having their graduation ceremony.:roflol:

That's a bit closer to the feeling I get when I pass another exam. Just the knowledge that I'm 3 credits closer to my objective is great. However, when I passed my second test (A&I Lit), I got home and thought "oh, boy. This could be bad..." I knew then there was no way I was gonna stop until I'd taken as many as I could as quickly as I could. Smile
