"Yoot-sidge" or "yut-sidge".
I thought it was Polish.
"Dawn" is a lot easier to pronounce!
actually, dawn is alot easier to pronounce. i have never been involved in a board so i didn't know how it really worked with the name deal. you guys are my first! snazz is close on pronounciation, "yout-see" (like could and should) and the "j" is for my husband's name: jeff. yutzy is a very commom amish name, along with yoder, troyer, and miller. my husband's great grandfather was amish, with the buggies and all, and left the order. even though it is only five little letters, having 2 y's and a z really confuses people when i have to spell it for them. i have gotten every variation imaginable. hilarious my kids like our last name, it's great for sports, i guess, sometimes their friends call them 'yutz', pronounced just like it is spelled, with a short u. it's kinda like a nickname, my son even had it put on his class ring. it really is a novelty name.

I love this website and board for the same reasons. I need the encouragement the other posters provide. I enjoy reading how other people have passed these tests and I am not alone.
we all want to hear how you've done and we really are interested! you are doing great and it has to be hard with no encouragement but please don't let other's reactions wear you down. don't let their reactions cause you to second guess yourself either. i know that you haven't said those things, but it could possibly happen. when you are all finished and have your degree, it will be the greatest feeling, next to being a mom, of course!

Almost forgot to mention, I used IC supplemented with online encyclopedia lookups and 3 practice tests from Peterson's and Clep's Official Study Guide.
Excellent post and nice work on the Bio!

I passed! only studied on instantcert and got by with a 53! Thank G-d! Interesting enough, I didn't find that most of the information on the test was what I had actually studied, but then again, I hadn't studied well. There were a lot of graph questions, in which we were supposed to apply our knowledge. Very few questions of evolution, so don't focus on that. It is possible to figure out a lot of answers based on educational guessing.
Good luck!
